Terms and Conditions

Legal Aid of Arizona’s free referral service is designed to assist you in obtaining legal referrals.

By using this service and contacting Legal Aid of Arizona by any means including phone or email, you acknowledge, consent, and agree to all of the following terms and conditions:

  • Legal Aid of Arizona aka Legal Aid for Referrals is a referral service designed to try to help connect community members with an attorney. It is not designed for those who already have a lawyer, who need direct free legal services, who do not want to communicate or speak with an attorney, or who have claims that require immediate attention. At this time we can only provide referrals for legal matters in Arizona.
  • This service is provided free of charge. It is a private service and not associated with any publicly funded organization or governmental entity. We are not responsible for any representations or information you may have received about this service from others or information provided by others.
  • Given the call and email volume, we do not and cannot guarantee you will be contacted back or that you will receive any referral or contact. You cannot rely on Legal Aid of Arizona for any confidential or time-sensitive matters.  Some case may be unique, and we may not be able to provide a referral.
  • Legal Aid of Arizona does not provide any guarantee, promise, or representation of any sort, and you cannot rely in any way on your contact or use of our service in connection with any matter. We do not guarantee results, contact, action, process, impartiality, or make any other representations about referrals, claims, or cases. You are not obligated in any way to contact or communicate with us or use our service. Legal Aid of Arizona does not endorse attorneys or establish or monitor rates or retention. Your contact with Legal Aid of Arizona is purely voluntary and your use of its service or contact does not establish an attorney-client relationship in any way. By using our service you expressly agree to waive any conflicts that could be associated with your use of the service or its operators and agents, communication with any attorney, and information you choose to provide. Currently, Legal Aid of Arizona is designed to provide referrals for Arizona legal matters only and does not directly provide legal representation or guarantee legal services, legal representation, or anything else.
  • It is your responsibility to contact, independently assess, select, and engage an attorney if you wish to move forward with your claims. You are in no way limited to any attorney or entity referred through our service, and you are not obligated in any way to engage, communicate with, or contact any particular attorney. You are welcomed and encouraged to get second opinions and seek representation and referrals from other sources. Contacting, selecting, and hiring an attorney is your independent duty and you cannot rely on us to perform it for you.
  • Your claims may require immediate attention to avoid missing any and all potential important filing, case, or statutory deadlines. It may be critical for you to take immediate action to pursue a claim or establish defenses, etc. You cannot rely on Legal Aid of Arizona or its service in any way to respond to your referral request at all, communicate with you, or otherwise assist you in time to meet any deadline, to take any action, or to respond to any event or contact. Due to volume, not every request, email, or phone call may be returned or answered and referrals may not be provided or available for your case. Confidential or time-sensitive information should not be sent through this service.  By using our service you waive any confidentiality, privilege, or privacy rights associated with the information you choose to provide or information you choose to communicate.
  • Some attorneys may provide a brief free initial consultation or answer questions if they deem it appropriate. By calling our number you may be put in contact with someone and may be asked question or receive basic information. Legal Aid of Arizona does not have funding to provide direct, free legal services. Legal Aid of Arizona reserves the sole discretion and right to determine whether a consultation or communication/response is appropriate under certain circumstances or whether to respond to a referral or other contact or communication.
  • Attorneys may choose not to represent you due to a conflict of interest, economical issues, timing, or other considerations.
  • Attorneys are solely responsible for setting rates for their legal services and for any actions or inaction after you contact them if you choose to contact them.
  • Legal Aid of Arizona does not guarantee referrals, contact, or action and has the sole right to process or decline to process referrals, refuse to process referrals, and use any information you provide as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion. In certain circumstances, Legal Aid of Arizona may direct you to some general sources in place of a list of attorneys. Attorney contact and license information may not be up to date so you need to check and confirm.
  • By supplying your email address and/or phone number or calling us, you give permission for an attorney to contact and communicate with you directly should they choose to do so.
  • By contacting Legal Aid of Arizona, Legal Aid for Referrals and/or using its service, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold Legal Aid of Arizona and its founders, officers, volunteers, operators, supporters, and agents (collectively “LGA”) harmless from any and all claims, disputes, actions, liabilities, costs and expenses, arising in any way from your use of the service, communications with LGA, referrals, referral quality, and/or any representation obtained or action undertaken or avoided as a result of your use of the service or contact with us or attorneys referred through us. As to any potential liability of LGA, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with communicating and engaging an attorney referred by us or otherwise engaged through the use of this service. If you have any questions regarding these terms or use of our service or are deciding whether to speak to or hire any attorney you may contact as a result of this service, you are advised of the desirability of seeking, and are highly encouraged to seek, the advice of independent legal counsel prior to using our service or contacting us.
